About Interdisciplinary Studies at Young Harris College

Under the guidance of faculty advisors, students who opt for this major will create their own program of study to earn a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of science. Majors will learn about complex issues that transcend disciplinary confines, acquire knowledge to become active participants in their community, and gain skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication.

Interdisciplinary Studies degree requirements

To graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from YHC, you’ll take 120 hours of coursework.

General Education:

31 hours

Electives:

32-41 hours, including two PALS (Physically Active Life Skills) courses
